Naperville businesses can now apply for grants to make energy-efficient improvements to their property.
The city is offering 50 cents for every $1 spent toward the upgrades through its Greener Business Program Matching Grant Fund with a limit of $10,000 per business.
Commercial, office, industrial business and multi-family building owners can apply for the funding at www.naperville.il.us/greenerbusiness.aspx. Applications will be accepted until May 1 and grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Projects receiving grant money must be complete by 5 p.m. June 1.
The program is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy using federal stimulus funds.
