Missouri and Iowa have been included in a Small Business Administration grant that will give small architecture, engineering and contractor firms an opportunity to meet and possibly collaborate with large businesses that bid on federal projects.
The Midwest Regional Contractor Teaming Program was established by an SBA grant to the Chicago Urban League through one of 11 nationwide grants.
The program will connect participating companies with firms interested in teaming opportunities, assist with the formation and execution of teaming arrangements, help identify larger federal contracting opportunities, and assist with the preparation and submission of federal bids and offers.
“The program provides an excellent opportunity for Missouri and Iowa businesses to gain exposure and experience with larger businesses as well as larger contracts,” said Patricia Brown-Dixon, the Region 7 SBA Administrator .
Deadline to apply is January 31. Firms can contact Selena Sizemore at 773-451-3566, or email ssizemore@thechicagourbanleague.org, to get program specifics and an application.
The program will also extend services to small businesses in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky
